I'f you'd like to read Woman Be Free, or check out the contents before buying it, go to my main website and click on the Woman Be Free link in the sidebar. I've placed the text for the whole book there to read online at no charge.
Sometimes people are curious about why an author would place their whole book online for anyone to read. Besides thinking that it's reasonable for potential buyers to want to know what they are buying before they buy, and one can browse the contents of books easily at any bookstore, there are other reasons it makes good sense to me to do that, at least with some books.
People doing research can check the book quickly online without having to track a copy down at a library and order it through interlibrary loan. People in countries where the book is not available can read it without ordering it, often at substantial cost for shipping, and waiting for it to get to them. And, in some countries it's not possible to buy it by ordering it because it is so difficult to send currency out of the country.
Because the book contains important foundational material supporting equality for women in the church, and by extension, in society as well, I want it to be available everywhere possible, and accessable to the most readers possible.
And, well, I think readers appreciate a bit of generosity, and in a way, that probably creates sales too, call it the goodwill factor.
